WHAT COUNTRYSIDE LITTLE LEAGUE EXPECTS FROM OUR PARENTS
- Attend your child’s games to show support.
- Be a positive and encouraging presence for the coach and team.
- Communicate with the coach in a respectful and appropriate manner.
- Cheer for all players, regardless of team affiliation.
- Be a positive role model both on and off the field.
- Support your child, whether they are succeeding or facing challenges.
- Respect and support our league volunteers; be ready to help when asked.Understand that learning and playing the game can be difficult at times.
- Find opportunities to work with your child on the basic skills of the game.
- Remain supportive and positive, regardless of the game’s outcome.
- Exemplify good sportsmanship at all times.
- Refrain from making negative comments toward players on either team.
- Respect the umpire’s decisions and avoid making their job harder. Remember that everyone involved in Little League is a volunteer, and errors will happen.
- Volunteer in the concession stand when your team is scheduled.
- Complete questionnaires to evaluate managers and coaches at the end of the season.
WHAT MANAGERS EXPECT FROM PARENTS
• Allow the manager to run the team, remembering that all coaches are volunteers.
• If you have concerns, please discuss them with the manager after the game and away from the players.
• Set a good example for the players by refraining from yelling at umpires or opposing players.
• Volunteer to help ensure a positive experience for your child, including assisting with concession stand duties and scorekeeping for the AAA-Senior divisions.
• Help with small or one-time tasks that arise during the season and in the off-season.
