REGISTRATION FAQS

Q: How do I register my child?
A: Click on "Register" in the top right hand corner of our website. If you are new to Countryside Little League, enter your email and create a password. You will receive an email to verify your account. If you have previously created an account, simply login with your email and password and you will be brought to your My Account page. Click here for a complete list of next steps.

Q: How much are registration fees?
A: Coming soon.

Q: What do registration fees cover?
A: Registration fees each season only cover a fraction of what it takes to fund a league. From paying charter fees, insurance, purchasing uniforms and playing equipment (hats, jerseys, bats, batting helmets, catcher’s gear, baseballs and softballs), to investing in player and coaching clinics, it takes a lot to play ball! Other ways the league raises money is through organized fundraisers, private and commercial donations, and financial support provided through team and league sponsorship agreements.

Q: The site says there are no available programs for my child - what do I do now?
A: This usually means that registration has closed (or is not open yet) or that your child is not eligible to participate based on birth date. You will need to contact us directly to find out if registration is still available for your child by emailing [email protected]

Q: Is my order complete?

A: You can make sure that your order is complete by logging into your account on this website and clicking on "Order History" from the "My Orders" tab.

You can also check your email to see if you received an order confirmation email - this email is like a receipt. Your child is not considered registered until you have received an order confirmation email.

SKILLS EVALUATION FAQS

Q:
My child participated in Skills Evals last season, does he/she have to do it again this season?
A:  Yes. Each season players and Managers in Baseball and Softball (AA, AAA, and Majors) will attend Skills Evals so they can score/assess players for their own reference.

Those scores would then be utilized as managers work through the draft process.

Once a child has been assessed, it is the responsibility of the Team Managers, the Vice President, and the league’s Player Agents for baseball and softball to operate and assure a fair and equitable draft that follows one of Little League’s approved draft methods.

Q:
What will happen during Evals, and what should my child bring?
A: There are typically 5 areas in which each player should be given the opportunity to show their skills: (1) Batting (2) Fielding fly balls (3) Fielding ground balls (4) Throwing (5) Running bases. Drills will be organized so each player has a chance to participate.

Players should dress neatly in baseball/softball pants, cleats, baseball cap, and bring their equipment (bat, glove, helmet, and necessary protective gear) plus a water bottle to stay hydrated.

TEAM FAQS

Q:
How will my child be selected to a team, and when will the teams be announced?
A: Tee-ball and A-ball team rosters are put together by the Player Agent. Requests for a specific Manager or teammate will be considered, but not guaranteed. Make sure you email the Player Agent at the time of registration before rosters are completed.

AA, AAA, and Majors players will be drafted to a team through a draft selection process.

Teams for all divisions are announced on the same day, usually the same day we hold our Manager Meeting. We typically host a Team Announcement Event at DICK'S Sporting Goods in Clearwater by the Countryside Mall. Be sure to check our Calendar tab for that information.

Q: What is the time commitment? How many practices and games per week?
A: To start, teams will have 2 practices per week until Opening Day. Once games start, teams will move to 1 practice a week and 2 games per week. Practice days and times are at the discretion of the Team Manager and field availability. Typically, the schedule looks something like this:

Tee-ball & A-ball:  games are on Saturdays, and there are some weeks where there may be a week-day game scheduled. Games are capped at one hour playing time.

AA Baseball:  games are Tuesdays and Saturdays.

AA Softball:  games are Mondays and Saturdays.

AAA Baseball:  games are Wednesdays and Saturdays.

AAA Softball: games areTuesdays and Saturdays.

Majors Baseball: games are Tuesdays and Fridays.
